GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – The Conchman Triathalon was held in Grand Bahama on Saturday.

Athletes from all walks of life swam, biked an ran the course at Taino beach.

Ayden Bain and Launy Duncombe were the top finsihers in the race overall.

Sylvia Bateman, Kami Roach and Veronique Moran were the top three finishers in the women’s divison, in that order.

Christine Van Der Linde was present to support the triathalon on behalf of BASRA Northern Bahamas.

Pan Am Games

Javelin Thrower Rhema Otabor won silver and high jumper Donald Thomas won bronze in their respective events at the Pan American Games in Santiago Chile.

NCAA champ Otabor’s medal came on a heave of 60.54 meters, 2.56 meters behind champion Flor Denis Ruiz of Colombia while the veteran Stalwart Thomas jumped 2.24 to win a bronze behind Luis Enrique Zayas of Puerto Rico and Luis Joel Castro of Cuba.
