UNITED STATES – The Oklahoma City Thunder are NBA champions after defeating the Indiana Pacers in a decisive Game 7, with a final score of 103–91. This marks the franchise’s first NBA title, led by a stellar performance from star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored 29 points and was named Finals MVP, joining an elite group of basketball greats.
Indiana’s hopes for a comeback were dealt a major blow when star guard Tyrese Haliburton suffered a devastating Achilles injury. Despite a strong effort from the Pacers, it was the Thunder’s relentless defense that ultimately sealed the historic victory.
