On September 3rd, 2019 as Hurricane Dorian departed Grand Bahama after two days of devastation, authorities confirmed the island’s first death–a woman who tragically lost her life while braving the storm on her roof.

Residents began to witness the overwhelming destruction left by what would become the most devastating storm in Bahamian history.

A year after Hurricane Dorian, a family of four from Canada recalled swimming for their lives on Abaco.

Despite losing everything, the Bourassa family expressed gratitude for their survival and determination to rebuild.

And in 2023, Prime Minister Philip Davis announced his first cabinet shuffle since taking office in 2021.

In a national address, he revealed a revamped lineup, expressing confidence in his new ministers, including JoBeth Coleby-Davis as the new energy minister, to move the country forward.
