NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 24-year-old man accused of a 2017 shooting that killed an eight-month-old boy and nearly killed his parents won’t be tried until 2024.

24-year-old Anton Anthony Davis, who is on bail, was supposed to be tried for the murder of Shelton Tinker Jr. and the attempted murders of his parents, Shelton Tinker Sr. And Jeffrina Sweeting; however, the prosecution was not ready to proceed.

As a result, Davis had to get a new trial date. His trial is now set for January 22, 2024.

His alleged crime made headlines after police reported that a gunman forced his way into a home on Rupert Dean Lane around 3 a.m. on August 28, 2017 and fatally shot an infant while critically wounding his parents.
