NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The trial for Lindsay Shiver, the American woman accused of plotting to kill her husband, that was scheduled to start on October 7 has been delayed again.

The trial has been pushed back to March 2025 due to the ongoing bribery trial of FNM MP Adrian Gibson and others.

Prosecutors allege that Lindsay and Robert Shiver were in the middle of a bitter divorce when she allegedly asked Terrance Bethel and Faron Newbold Jr to kill him while on vacation in the Bahamas in July 2023.

Police allegedly uncovered the plan between them when Bethel was arrested following a break-in at Grabbers Bar where he worked as a bartender.

The trial was initially set to begin on March 6, 2024. That trial date was rescheduled to July 1, and was reset for October 7.
