Trump Says He Will Order Cessation Of Sanctions Against Syria

UNITED STATES – U.S. President Donald Trump kicked off his Middle East Tour Tuesday with a high-profile visit to Saudi Arabia, touting new economic deals and his push for peace in Ukraine and Gaza.

Trump announced the lifting of U.S. sanctions on Syria, saying it’s time to “give them a chance at greatness.”

He also signed a $600 billion investment deal with the Saudis, including a massive $142 billion defense agreement.

Trump travels next to Qatar and the UAE.
