UNITED STATES – U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a dim view of possible talks with Iran to end the war, saying the U.S. has “no interest in meeting” until Iran is ready to convene “in a meaningful way.”

Meanwhile, Iran’s interior minister met with mediators in Pakistan as 10 consecutive days of attacks between the U.S. and Iran have shredded the interim ceasefire deal.

With no end to the fighting in sight, the U.S. Defense Secretary testified before the Senate on Tuesday afternoon to make a case for Trump’s $87.6B supplemental funding request, mostly for covering the costs of the war.
