UNITED STATES – U.S. President Donald Trump is threatening to slap a 50% tariff on all European Union imports starting June 1st, saying trade talks with the EU are “going nowhere.”
UNITED STATES – U.S. President Donald Trump is threatening to slap a 50% tariff on all European Union imports starting June 1st, saying trade talks with the EU are “going nowhere.”
The move could significantly raise prices on everything from cars to food, and even iPhones, which Trump insists should be made in America.
The EU has yet to respond, but businesses on both sides of the Atlantic are already rattled by the looming threat.
