GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBA – U.S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday he’s ordering the Pentagon and Homeland Security to set up a migrant facility at Guantanamo Bay for up to 30,000 people.

The U.S. naval base in Cuba already houses a separate migrant center, apart from the prison holding 15 terrorism suspects.

Critics condemn Guantanamo for indefinite detention and alleged torture. Former Presidents Obama and Biden tried to close it, but Trump has vowed to keep it open.
