NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A bloody weekend for New Providence, leaving three dead in three separate incidents. Two of those murders happening just hours apart on Sunday night.

The murder count climbed to 15, overnight after gunmen opened fire in two separate incidents.

The first fatal incident occurred around 9pm on Sunday, when police discovered the body of a young man after gunshots were reported in the area of Baillou Hill Road south.

Officer-in-charge of the Criminal Investigations Department, Chief Superintendent Michael Johnson was at last night’s scene.

The young man was found in a white t-shirt and black pants, but Johnson says no identification was found on the victim.

Two hours later, police were called to yet another murder scene, in Gambier, where the bullet-riddled body of the 39-year-old Flamingo Gardens resident was found lying outside a business in Gambier Heights.

Police are uncertain of the events leading up to the murder.
