NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Another death threat made to a member of the Davis administration’s Cabinet, this time the Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, causing the evacuation of some government offices, Friday morning.

Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture Montez Williams reported the incident to the police, noting the individual left his name and number.

Shortly after the cryptic call, everyone in the building was instructed to evacuate.

When Our News arrived on scene employees wearing their Bahamian flag colors were gathered on the lawn of Rubis corporate office across the street. At the time employees had been outside the building for about 20 minutes.

Employees were overheard complaining that only government vehicles were allowed to leave the government compound.

Youth, Sports and Culture Minister Mario Bowleg was not at the office when the call came in.

Police say the ministry got the call after 10:30 Friday morning.

The latest incident comes days after a second death threat was made to Prime Minister Philip Davis. One man has been arraigned for the second threat.
