NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Two teens are facing charges in connection with back-to-back shootings in Pinewood Gardens last week.

Prosecutors allege that the 17-year-olds who cannot be named for legal reasons were assisted by Eric Simms, 22, and 31-year-old Arthur Ferguson.

The teenagers are alleged to be responsible for a double shooting on June 1 that killed Philip Ferguson and nearly killed Deangelo Bastian.

They are charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life while Simms and Ferguson are accused of planning the crimes.

The following day, the teens allegedly opened fire on a car occupied by Delanzo Cartwright Jr and Jason Woodside.

They are charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and Simms is accused of being an accessory after the fact.

The accused were not required pleas to the charges when they stood before Senior Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr.

Bail was denied and they return to court on August 22 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.

Meanwhile, Ferguson appeared before Gun Court Magistrate Lennox Coleby Sr in relation to the seizure of seven firearms, four of them assault rifles, and 561 rounds of ammunition.

He didn’t have to plead as he will be tried in the Supreme Court before a judge and jury.
The matter is also adjourned to August 22 .
