NASSAU, BAHAMAS – More than a year after Prime Minister Philip Davis said there needs to be a crackdown on gun trafficking from the United States, Vice President Kamala Harris revealing a new position in U.S. law enforcement to address the vexing issue.

Last year, Davis said more than 90% of guns confiscated and used as murder weapons in The Bahamas can be traced to American manufacturers.

A recently signed U.S. law makes way for this and includes new federal criminal offenses for firearms trafficking and straw purchases.
