UNITED STATES – The Trump administration is repurposing its CBP home app, originally designed for asylum appointments, to let undocumented migrants in the U.S. “Self-deport.”

The app allows migrants to submit an “Intent to depart,” offering a chance to leave voluntarily and avoid harsher penalties.

Homeland security secretary Kristi Noem said those who comply “May still have the opportunity to return legally.”

But for those who don’t, she warned, “We will find them, we will deport them, and they will never return.”

The move is part of broader immigration reforms, including a proposed national registry for undocumented migrants.
