U.S. Vice President Encourages LGBTQ Activist
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – In a viral video United States Vice President Kamala Harris greeted scores well wishers at the Odyssey Airport.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – In a viral video United States Vice President Kamala Harris greeted scores well wishers at the Odyssey Airport.
In the video the U.S. VP allegedly says “we’re here to support you” directed at Alexus D’marco, Executive Director for The Bahamas Organization of LGBTQI Affairs.
D’marco says she was invited by the United States Embassy.
D’marco says while the interaction at the airport was brief, discussions with U.S. personnel will continue.
Earlier this month the hoisting of the pride flag at the U.S. Ambassador’s residence and embassy sparked backlash and debate..
As independence approaches D’marco says she will continue to fight for the rights of all who feel marginalised.
