NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A Georgia housewife, who prosecutors say was the mastermind behind a plot to kill her husband, has been freed from prison on $100,000 cash bail.

Mom-of-three Lindsay Shiver was released from the Central Police Station in downtown Nassau on Wednesday after being tagged with an ankle monitor.

She has to remain in Nassau until October 5 and check in at the Cable Beach Police Station three times a week.

Her American passport has been surrendered to the U.S. embassy.

Shiver is accused of conspiring with two Bahamian to kill her husband of 13 years Robert Shiver.

The couple split in April after Robert accused his wife of cheating.

Months later, on July 16, prosecutors say Lindsay planned Robert’s murder with her alleged lover Terrance Bethel. The pair is accused of enlisting Faron Newbold to carry out the plan.

Police investigating a break-in at a bar in Guana Cay, Abaco where Bethel worked stumbled across the sinister plot when they examined his cellphone.

As a result, the trio were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder on July 21.

They were formally charged on July 28.

Prosecutors had no objection to the alleged conspirators being granted bail after speaking to Mr. Shiver.

Lindsay’s co-accused were released last Thursday. However, they all appeared before Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson today for a status hearing.
