NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Monday night’s double homicide killing 16-year-old Andrew Newry Jr. and according to his uncle Wentworth Newry, all he heard was the gunshots while he was taking a shower.

He says his nephew was brought into the kitchen where died.

Police alerted us to the double shooting minutes before 7 pm on Monday. Inspector Cesserine Whyte shared these details on the scene.

Police were unable to give the approximate ages of the victims and could not say if any of the men were known to police.

His uncle says just days before his life was tragically cut short he made this commitment.

The grieving uncle recounts the last conversation the teen had with his father shortly before he lost his life.
