HOUSTON TEXAS, USA – More than 100 people were evacuated from a plane on Houston’s runway Sunday after an engine alert forced the crew to abort takeoff.

One passenger captured flames beneath the wing, but no injuries were reported.

The FAA is investigating.

The airbus a319 operated by United and bound for New York had 104 passengers and five crew onboard.

This incident follows last week’s midair collision of an American Airlines jet and a U.S. Army helicopter near Washington.
