Urban Renewal And Community Organizations Partner For Big Giveback

NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – A complimentary fun-filled day at Windsor Park was organized for kids in the area, thanks to the Royal Bahamas Urban Renewal division, Vitamalt, and other partners as they hosted a back-to-school giveaway.

The event featured various activities, including a hands-on experience with components of a fire truck provided by the RBPF’s fire service department.

There were game stations, balloons, bounce houses, health screenings, food, and hundreds of bags distributed, including these cooler bags sponsored by Vitamalt.

Brand Representative for Vitamalt Deandrah Mavros, stated that their participation in this community initiative has been ongoing for several years.

Event host for the festivities, Sawyerboy, told me this is his first time at the event.

He observed the eagerness of both the children and adults.

The organizers expected the event to finish by 4 pm. The officer in charge of Community Police and Service Urban Renewal Chief Superintendent Darvy Pratt, stated that community outreach efforts will persist even after their departure from the park.
