NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A close friend of Auto Body Mechanic Paul Cox Jr., who was shot and killed on Sunday morning, is speaking out.

Cox was shot shortly after 11 am while at his body shop on Winders Terrace, off Malcom Road. He died a short time later at the hospital.

Wanting to remain anonymous to protect herself, this woman says she is a family friend.

She describes Cox as a hard-working and kind person who didn’t bother anyone.

She says it was her son’s car Cox was working on when the gunfire erupted.

According to friends, Cox, who has a daughter, moved from Jamaica to The Bahamas more than ten years ago, leaving behind his entire family to open up his body shop.

His friend says from what she knows, Cox was caught in the crossfire and another man was the intended target.

She had this message to killers.
