Antiguan Soca Artiste Ricardo Drue Has Died

ANTIGUA – Soca sensation Ricardo Drue died early Tuesday in his home town Antigua after local media reports say he was found unresponsive.

The 38 year old soca artist, who was engaged to fellow soca star Patrice Roberts, was reportedly taken to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre in Antigua, where he was later pronounced dead.

Local media says devastated family, fans and friends gathered outside the hospital this afternoon in tears over the father of five’s passing.

Heartfelt messages pouring in on social media, with one fan saying, “I’ve always respected your drive and passion. My heart goes out to your children and your fiancé”.
