NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A Canadian man accused of rape has forfeited his $25,000 cash bail after he failed to show up for his trial.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A Canadian man accused of rape has forfeited his $25,000 cash bail after he failed to show up for his trial.
Prosecutors say William McCann raped a 21-year-old year-old American tourist on May 26, 2022.
The incident allegedly took place in McCann’s room at the Atlantis resort.
McCann’s trial was supposed to begin this week before Justice Renae McKay.
But, he was a no-show.
As a result, his cash bail was forfeited, and a warrant issued for his arrest.
