UNITED STATES – Authorities in Oregon and Washington are investigating arson attacks on ballot drop boxes near the state border.

Early Monday, incendiary devices ignited ballot boxes in Portland and Vancouver, similar to an October 8th incident.

Authorities say most ballots in Portland were saved, but hundreds may be damaged in Vancouver.

Both states assured affected voters will receive replacement ballots. The FBI is involved, with police tracking a suspect vehicle.

State officials condemned the attacks as threats to democracy.
