NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Prime Minister Philip Davis, who also serves as CARICOM Chairman, says resources need to be mobilized to combat violence and crime.

His comments came as he opened a two day symposium being held in Trinidad and Tobago to address crime and violence as a public health issue.

Prime minister Davis also sharing the importance of regional and interagency cooperation to address the multifaceted issues that come along with crime and violence and the prime minister also says more emphasis should be placed on protecting women and children as well as young men through out the region.
