TRINIDAD & TOBAGO – The Caribbean Music Awards (CMA) Welcome Reception brought together diplomats, corporate executives, artists, and media representatives on Friday evening, as the industry gathered at the National Academy for the Performing Arts in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

The event featured several designated spaces, creating an atmosphere designed for networking, entertainment, and celebration.

The cocktail lounge captured an island-inspired elegance, with a white color palette, crimson accents, and towering palm trees adding to the ambiance.

Keeping the energy going was CMA nominee for International DJ of The Year, DJ Kevin Crown, who provided the musical entertainment.

Another area featured a digital photo booth, red carpet, and professional production equipment to accommodate speakers and live performances.

Two of the CMA’s founders also took to the stage as speakers.

Their appearance added a distinctive element to the program, particularly as public speaking engagements by the two founders are relatively rare.

The founders emphasized that support from across the region is essential to advancing the Caribbean music movement.

They also revealed that this year’s ceremony features more than 300 nominated artists, with more than 60 media partners on board, including Billboard.

The ceremony will also honor several distinguished honorees.

The founders underscored the importance of recognizing these contributors, while highlighting the diversity of talent across the Caribbean as a powerful force in the global music landscape.
