The Bahamas Red Cross seeking to take preventative measures after their headquarters on John F. Kennedy was robbed this week of more than $77,000 dollars worth of equipment.

President of the organisation Edison Saunders says since the incident efforts have been made to beef up security.

As a result of the robbery, fingers were pointed to a breakdown in security.

Police reporting that containers containing generators and electrical supplies were broken into.

Responding quickly the following day, the Baha Mar foundation donated $100,000 dollars to aid in the replacement of the equipment.
