NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A woman has been awarded more than $39,500 in damages after she was accidentally burned while attending a school reunion at Sapodilla fine dining restaurant a decade ago.

Cherelle Cartwright was at the function on July 16, 2016, when a server caught her clothes afire while serving a flaming dish.

As a result of the incident, Cartwright received second-degree burns to her right thigh and suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder.

Cartwright had sought more than $150,000 in compensation.
