NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Making sure our roads are fit and proper is crucial but equally as important is making sure sidewalks are up to par.

Geotechnical and civil engineer in the ministry of works Albrion Symonette Jr. says the ministry has started a walkability study in conjunction with the Inter-American Development Bank to improve sidewalks throughout New Providence.

And they’ve already looked at several areas.

The study will also take into account proper access for the disabled.
