NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Ministry of Works is gearing up to conduct school repairs; in this week’s work-in-progress feature, a senior official from the ministry is breaking down the process.

As the end of the school term draws near, the Ministry of Works and Utilities is preparing to go in to make the necessary upgrades and improvements. 

Chief Information Officer in the Ministry of Works Harrison Lockhart says all of the schools have been assessed to determine what’s needed but as Lockhart explains there is a process before school repairs begin.

He says it starts with an assessment by the school’s principal’s that’s when the bill of quantities is put together to be sent back to  the the Ministry of Education

Once agreed upon and approved, it goes back to the Ministry of Works and Utilities.
