NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Water and Sewerage Corporation is working to increase capacity and supply on Eleuthera in order to meet demand, according to general manager, Robert Deal.

Deal explains that the corporation is “making steady progress with water supply challenges in Eleuthera.”

On Monday, he says construction began on two bladder tanks – one installed in Central Eleuthera, and the second in North Eleuthera – which is expected to be completed in two weeks.

Deal adds new equipment is being shipped to New Providence by late January, which would increase capacity to 200,000 gallons per day. He is hopeful the equipment will be forwarded to Eleuthera as soon as possible.
