NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bastian family has lived in their charming victorian-style house for over four generations.

On Monday they were going about their daily lives when the catastrophic collapse occurred. 

Videos of the distressed Reinhard Hotel collapsing quickly making its rounds on social media. In moments, the historic building was reduced to rubble.

Christian Cunningham-Bastian recalled the moments before the shocking incident.

The visibly damaged home, held decades of memories for the Bastian family.

Witnesses on scene  also gave their first-hand account.

According to the family the owner of the building agreed to help them find a new place to live.
