Young Entrepreneur Follows “God’s Calling”

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Karis Knowles isn’t your average 17-year-old. 

While many young people enjoy their weekends with friends or are glued to their television or social media, she and a group of close friends and family prepare to visit the Nazareth Centre, where she hopes to bring smiles and a message of hope to the young residents.

Karis, who presently studies at a boarding school in Rome, Georgia, plans to study finance and marketing when she graduates. She got her start in business early, operating her own balloon company at the age of ten. 

Through it all, her mother, Stacy Dean, has been at Karis’ side, encouraging her to shoot for the stars and helping her along the way. She urges other parents to be the wind beneath their children’s wings.

Though Stacy’s support has gotten Karis this far, she knows the foundation has a greater purpose. 

One of Karis’ goals is to provide scholarships to deserving young people. Stacy hopes partners will come on board to help the foundation flourish.
