150th Kentucky Derby: “I Left Inspired By Larry”

KENTUCKY, USA – We were all rooting for Bahamian horse trainer, Larry Demeritte, and his horse, West Saratoga, last Saturday during the 150th Kentucky Derby.

But while most of us cheered from home, Rhiannon Thomas was among the Bahamians who got to witness the history-making moment from the stands.

She says it all started when a friend reached out earlier in the year.

The Bahamian contingent showed up and certainly represented. And the fashion a big part of painting the scene at Churchill Downs… Thomas tells us how her viral look came together.

And she says the atmosphere at the event truly made it a day to remember.
