NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for raping a woman during a home invasion in 2023.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for raping a woman during a home invasion in 2023.
Justice Renae McKay handed the sentence to Kumar Lloyd after he took a plea deal.
As part of the deal, prosecutors dropped charges of burglary, armed robbery and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
On January 8, 2023, Lloyd and two other men forced their way into a home on Marshall Road.
They tied up a 59-year-old man and raped his 33-year-old wife in another room.
The intruders also stole electronics, jewelry, and three dollars.
