NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Prosecutors have dropped their case against a man accused of murder and attempted murder.

Rashad Reid was on trial for the June 30, 2018 murder of Kiria Musgrove and the attempted murder of Austin Pinder when the DPP ordered the case stopped.

The charges stemmed from a shooting in Pastel Gardens.

Police said the victims were in a car when a gunman shot both of them.

Pinder ran for help and the gunman fled in the car with Musgrove, whose body was found discarded in bushes off Cowpen Road on July 1.

Reid has not been acquitted of the charges and prosecutors can bring the case back if they want.
