NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 26-year-old Eleuthera man who failed to check in with police for a year and a half while on bail for housebreaking, stealing and receiving has been jailed for one year.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 26-year-old Eleuthera man who failed to check in with police for a year and a half while on bail for housebreaking, stealing and receiving has been jailed for one year.

Carlos Wilson of Gregory Town, admitted to skipping 247 check-ins between January 2025 and July 2026 when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Raquel Whymms.

Wilson also admitted to not charging his ankle monitor between may 2026 to July for 92 days.
