28-Year-Old Trainee Customs Officer Jailed For 4 Years On Multiple Firearms Offenses

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 28-year-old trainee customs officer has been jailed for four years after pleading guilty to multiple firearms offenses.

Renaji Rolle was arrested along with 23-year-old Trinity Huyler on May 20 after police officers executed a search warrant on his Kennedy Subdivision home.

The officers seized an AK-47 rifle, an AustriaGglock 22 .40 pistol with an auto sear, 20 rounds of 7.62 ammunition, 14 rounds of .40 ammunition, a 9mm magazines and four rounds of 9mm ammunition.

Rolle pleaded guilty at his arraignment before acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans.

Huyler, who is also a trainee customs officer, pleaded not guilty.

Her bail was set at $8,000 and she returns to court on May 26 for a status hearing.
