NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A sudden spike in homicides this week, with crime scene investigators probing three in less than three days.

The latest incident saw a man shot and killed in the yard of a popular business on Carmichael Road near Malcolm Road.

Officer-In- Charge of the Carmichael Road Police Station Chief Superintendent Tess Newbold revealed police got the call around 11:30 Thursday night about the murder near Superwash.

The deadly killing happened one day after a man was shot multiple times in a yard on Piper Lane off Palm Beach Street Wednesday.

Less than two hours before that on Tuesday, a 27th year only man was tragically gunned down with his eight-month-old baby in hand after school pickup. Police are unable to say if the matters are connected.

We spoke with Superwash owner Dionisio D’agular, who said the residents and business community are fearful of crime because of incidents like this.
