32 Primary School Coaches Earn Licences

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Association, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education held a course for 32 coaches this past week.

Over 3 days, the coaches did theoretical and practical learning en-route to acquiring their CONCACAF Class-D licenses.

This was the latest in a number of educational initiatives undertaken by the BFA to grow the game.

They also held a Club C licence course for club coaches and they’re also looking for people interested in participating in a referee course.

Mets first base coach Antoan Richardson and his team also got a 5-1 win over the Chicago White Sox.

Jonquel Jones and the Liberty had a tough matchup in the Pacific North West. She had 6 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists in the 98-85 win against the Seattle Storm.

Track & Field

Carlos Brown ran the 200m finals at the World Athletics U-20 Championships in Lima, Peru yesterday.

Brown advanced, ultimately coming 8th in a time of 21.51 seconds.

South Africa’s Bayanda Walaza won the race in 20.52 seconds.
