NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A gun supplier has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to possession of eight firearms and more than 2,000 rounds of ammunition.

35-year-old Rubens Scutt took a plea deal in connection with the July 24, 2024 seizure of five handguns, three rifles and two thousand, one hundred and 75 rounds of ammunition.

The charges stemmed from a search of Scutt’s Mckinney Drive home.

As part of the plea deal, prosecutors dropped charges against Scutt’s wife, Charea Rolle-Scutt.

Scutt will also receive credit for time spent on remand.

Following his release, he will be placed on probation for one year.

If he breaches the terms of his probation, he will return to prison for an additional year.
