49-Year-Old Man Behind Bars, Awaiting Sentencing In Incest Case

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 49-year-old man is behind bars awaiting sentencing after he admitted to raping his half-sister.

The man, whose name has been withheld to protect his alleged victim’s identity, pleaded guilty to incest before his sister testified at his trial before Justice Renae McKay.

The charge stems from an incident that took place on October 15, 2022 when the man raped his 22-year-old paternal sister.

As a result of his guilty plea, Justice McKay remanded the man into custody.

She is expected to hear sentencing arguments on November 16th.
