NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A $60 million project to upgrade 50 miles of road on Exuma is steadily progressing. The massive work was made possible by a public private partnership between the government and Bahamas Striping Group of Companies.

Senior government officials and Bahamas Striping Group of Companies Managing Director Alan Albury were on the ground today.

The road project is expected to be completed by 2024.

But amid inflation and supply chain challenges, due to the ongoing Russian War in Ukraine, Albury says they’ve run into some difficulties.

Meanwhile, Works and Utilities Minister Alfred Sears revealed the installation of drains and road elevation to mitigate flooding.
