GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Following a back and forth between government and the Grand Bahama Port Authority, the President of the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce is weighing in. And, he’s calling on both parties to come to a resolution.

That’s President of the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce James Carey giving his take on the back and forth between government and the Grand Bahama Port Authority on the current state of Freeport’s economy.

Carey says it’s not good for the business community. He says he’s anxious to know what the prime minister’s plan is as it relates to his comment on “decisive action”.

But, the Chamber President believes government is right in pushing the port authority to do more.

And as for what he thinks the solution is, he says both parties need to “sit down in the room and if necessary, lock the door …and get some results.”
