The Legacy of Anthony “Huck” Williams Must Live On
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – For over 40 years, Anthony “Huck” Williams has been involved in the cultural art of Junkanoo helping to mold and guide others who have a passion for the national expression of all things Bahamian.
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – For over 40 years, Anthony “Huck” Williams has been involved in the cultural art of Junkanoo helping to mold and guide others who have a passion for the national expression of all things Bahamian.
His death, now leaving a major void in the Grand Bahama community as many have credited Williams with giving them a firm foundation.
Co-leader of the world-famous Bushwackers Junkanoo group, Ricardo Lightbourn calling for others in the Junkanoo community to step up and fill that void.
And to those that participate in the senior parades, well, Lightbourn says Williams’ death will be felt at that level as well. However, he is encouraging those within the swinger’s junkanoo group to continue the legacy left behind by Huck.
The Swingers Junkanoo Group will be on Pioneer’s Way this New Year’s Day and will pay tribute to their fallen leader.
