Juan Soto scored the only run, hitting a home run and being driven in by a Giancarlo Stanton single in the ninth inning.

In basketball, Klay Thompson scored 19 points for the Dallas Mavericks, though they lost 114-102 to the Phoenix Suns. Meanwhile, Kai Jones had a brief appearance for the L.A. Clippers, grabbing two rebounds and blocking a shot in just four minutes of play before being benched. The Clippers went on to win 109-104 against the Denver Nuggets.
