LAS VEGAS – Jake Paul’s unanimous win over 58-year-old Mike Tyson might’ve been a snoozer in the ring, according to some critics, but the fight made history at the sportsbooks.
LAS VEGAS – Jake Paul’s unanimous win over 58-year-old Mike Tyson might’ve been a snoozer in the ring, according to some critics, but the fight made history at the sportsbooks.
BETMGM says it was their most-bet fight ever, raking in triple the bets and quadruple the money of any combat sport in their history.
Caesars Sportsbook compared the action to an NFL Monday Night game, with bettors split between nostalgia for Tyson and Paul’s younger fan base.
Despite Paul being the favorite, most of the bets were on Tyson. In the end, Paul’s victory was a big win for the sportsbooks.
