NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Atlantis resort is known for its unique structure, restaurants and water park but the resort is also heavily invested in marine life. It is home the largest open-air marine habitat in the world.

The fish hospital also known as the quarantine area is the holding area for animals before they go into the exhibits you often see when visiting Atlantis.

Atlantis has one of the largest open-air marine habitats representing over 250 marine species.

Marine Education and Programs Officer Kristen Johnson says there are also lots of programs that caters to the little ones.

Baby sharks also known as pups were born at Atlantis in the predators lagoon. They are now at the fish hospital to protect them from bigger animals.
