NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of killing his friend remains behind bars after Justice Gregory Hilton rejected his bail bid on Thursday.

Twenty-one-year-old Normand Toussaint is charged with the murder of Omar Davis Jr.

Prosecutors say Davis was visiting Toussaint’s home on August 15, 2022, when the friends had an argument.  Toussaint allegedly stabbed the 21-year-old multiple times, killing him.

Davis’ family reported him missing on August 16 after he didn’t return home.

The 21-year-old’s body was found in a garbage bag in the trunk of his black Honda Fit on August 16.

The car was parked on East Avenue near Caribbean Liquors, where Toussaint worked.

Davis had recently graduated from Central State University with a double degree in accounting and finance. He overcame the odds after witnessing his father’s murder at age 12.
