NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas may soon be back on the European Union’s list of non-compliant jurisdictions. Prime Minister Philip Davis raised it at a recent speech at the United Nations General Assembly. Attorney General Ryan Pinder provided some insight on where we go from here.

Attorney General says the non-compliance stems from issues and discrepancies identified by the European Union, through its Code of Conduct Group in the Commercial Entities Substance Requirements Act or CESRA.

Although the government was notified of the issues late last year, the matter wasn’t resolved before the review in April 2022.
