On November 6, 2018, Ornal Gilbert fell through the platform of a damaged Airstair at the Lynden Pindling Airport.

Gilbert suffered a torn right rotator cuff as a result of the fall. Despite two surgeries, Gilbert still experiences pain from the injury.
